JESUS CHRIST

Jesus is God’s One and Only Son–completely God and completely man.  He came to do for man what man could not do for himself.  Through His life, crucifixion, and resurrection, Jesus defeated death and the power of sin.  In a personal relationship with Jesus by faith alone, we have access to love, grace, peace, and joy–especially when life is most difficult.  In Jesus, and only in Jesus, can we find eternal life that begins in the here and now!

“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”  –Philippians 2:5-11

THE BIBLE

The Bible provides us with authoritative and reliable testimony regarding who God is and who we are.  It is composed of the sacred scriptures that make up the Old and New Testaments.  The entirety of the Bible is divinely inspired and is God’s final authority for the life of every believer.

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”  –Hebrews 4:12

HUMANITY

We believe that the reason for humanity’s existence is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.  The reality is that our defects, sins, and selfish desires block the realization of this goal.  These grave problems can only be adequately dealt with in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.  Following Jesus and His Word, we seek to live in harmony with those in our midst and to take care of the world around us.

“As it is written: ‘There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one’  . . .  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”  –Romans 3:10-12, 23-24
